How can we describe the West Wing to you? It's not a hotel, it's not a guest house and it's not a traditional bed and breakfast. It is however a warm, spacious and luxurious place to stay and feel relaxed and comfortable. You may come and go as you please, whenever you please.

The same thought and attention to detail has gone into the development of the West Wing as into the rest of Clifton. It is accessed through its own private entrance. The three rooms, a dining area, bedroom and bathroom have everything that you'd expect in quality accommodation but we've tried to do more than that. Solid oak floors are laid throughout. Meals are enjoyed in the privacy of your own suite. The bedroom has crisp sheets on the double bed and bespoke furniture. It is equipped with digital TV and radio, wireless internet connection, and also DVD and CD players and the adjoining bathroom is light and spacious with a double bath and shower, plenty of hot water and Fine Scottish Soaps.

Outside there is plenty of off street parking with garage room for bikes, canoes, skis or muddy boots and the gardens are yours to enjoy at any time. As well as our two children, you may end up sharing the gardens with our chickens, golden Retriever, black Labrador puppy and if you're lucky a red squirrel, or in the summer our resident population of bats and swifts.

Breakfast is naturally included in the price of the accommodation and all food is prepared to order on the Aga using, where possible, fresh local produce. We offer a full Scottish breakfast (with a vegetarian option), kippers, or Aga baked 'Clifton' eggs on toasted muffins. All are served with a variety of cereals or porridge, toast, fruit juice and tea or coffee.

With the West Wing we have tried to create something different. It is based on what we ourselves value in a holiday or short break destination. You stay here as a guest in our home but with all the privacy and freedom you require to do what ever you wish.
